I have a 95 GSR, and the light blinked 3 times at me. My friend said that is could be my map sensor But I just want to be sure. Thanks

Yup, map sensor.
Your Field SFC may be causing the code. MY Field SFC VTEC crapped on me every once in a while, causing the car to act up/shut down. Ever since I removed the Fuel control no more problems.

Do you really think that it is my field? But I never use it. Well at least not that often. Should I change the sensor, or pull the field?

I found that the Field would act up at random. I've had it for almost 3 years so maybe it was just a bad one. All I did was reconnect the MAP wire to the ecu. No problems ever since. I tried soldering the connections as some have advised but it didn't help. For now, reset the ECU and see if it happens again.

I checked the price of a new map sensor and it was like $244, luckly I know some people at napa and acura. What do you think I should do if this happens again? Also can I hurt the car if I dont do anything about it?
thanks

If it happens again the motor will just run in "limp mode." You'll just have poor performance because of the parameters (real rich, and timing retarded). Reset the ECU and if it happens again disconnect the Field Map wire. If it still happens then change the map.

Will the field still work right if the map wire is disconnected?
